David Collins

Zoning Board of Appeal member

I am a member of the Laborers International Union of North America. My local affiliation is Local 22.

I have 10 years of experience in Boston’s construction industry. In 2013 at 21 years old I joined the laborer’s union, Local 22 and went into the field. I have worked in many facets of construction as a laborer. Currently I work as a project manager for a demolition and labor services company. I have also participated in a number of small developments throughout the city’s neighborhoods ranging up to 10 units.

I was Born and raised in Roslindale with two Brothers and am one of twentysix 1st cousins in the Boston area. My extended family is deeply rooted in Boston. My father is one of nine brothers and sisters from Mission Hill and my mother one of ten brothers and sisters from West Roxbury. Many of my cousins and family are scattered through Boston’s great neighborhoods.

It's an honor to be nominated to the zoning board of appeal. I believe my understanding of Boston’s permitting and zoning, along with a deep love for this great city will make me an asset to the board and the mayor's vision for Boston.
