Tran was born and raised in Dorchester. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He previously worked as an ABA specialist and paraprofessional in Boston Public Schools. 

In his free time, Tran enjoys playing basketball, bowling, and boxing.
