Chris Radcliffe
Chris Radcliffe is the Interim Purchasing Agent for the City of Boston. Chris was appointed in May of 2022. Prior to that Chris served as the Assistant Purchasing Agent and has been with the City since 2012.
In his capacity with the City, Chris and his staff are entrusted to ensure that the City purchases the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices for all departments and agencies that we support. Procurement plays a key role in ensuring that all city departments comply with legal requirements for the procurement of goods, as outlined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and The City of Boston Charter. The Procurement office manages a Vendor/Bidder support desk which is responsible for functions related to the on-line supplier portal to assist vendors who wish to do business with the City. The Procurement Department is also responsible for disposing of surplus property, processing mail, providing copier services, custom printing, and publishing the City Record. The Procurement Department is committed to obtaining the best value possible for the taxpayers of the City of Boston.
