Anthony Nguyen is a proud lifelong Dorchester resident with a passion to serve in his community. Growing as the son of Vietnamese immigrants he understands the importance of community, cultural awareness and advocacy for those who lack the opportunities to engage civically.  In taking up his role as Director of SPARK Boston, he strives to continue increasing engagement of Boston's millennial and Gen Z residents across the City of Boston. 

Nguyen's commitment to SPARK stems from his love for the program, as it has been the introduction to civic engagement and their lifelong civic journey for many.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston in Biology and Asian-American Studies. When Nguyen is not at city hall or connecting with residents, he enjoys sports, traveling,volunteering with youth and local community efforts.
