    Docket #0204 – Message and order for the confirmation of the appointment of Alisa Drayton to the Board of Directors of the Boston Industrial Development Finance Authority for a term expiring April 1, 2025.

    Docket #0347 – Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Three Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($360,000.00) in the form of a grant awarded by the Boston Redevelopment Authority, doing business as the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA), pursuant to a Board vote to approve the expenditure on February 11, 2021. The purpose of the grant is to fund a staff position in the Boston Transportation Department for three (3) years, under a Memorandum of Agreement, to assist in the implementation of transportation and infrastructure improvements associated with BPDA and Boston Transportation Department planning initiatives in the City’s neighborhoods.

    These matters are sponsored by the Mayor and were referred to the Committee on Planning, Development and Transportation - Docket #0204 on (1/27/2021) and Docket #0347 on (2/24/2021).

    NOTICE: The Boston City Council may have a quorum in attendance due to standing committees of the City Council consisting of both voting and non-voting members.  However, members attending this duly posted meeting are participating and deliberating only in conjunction with the business of the standing committee.

    In accordance with Governor Baker's March 12, 2020 Executive Order modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law and relieving public bodies of certain requirements, including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the City Council will be conducting this hearing virtually. This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means. The public may watch this meeting via live stream at boston.gov/city-council-tv. It will also be re-broadcast at a later date on Xfinity 8, RCN 82, and Fios 964.
